Jean's new distance learning course was approved in January 2011. The course is on Toxic Heat Syndrome. It includes her new paper on Morgellon's Disease. The paper includes her personal treatment experiences as a senior TCM expert, observations of numerous individuals who have skin fibers and an extensive photo gallery clearly showing some of the unique problems that Morgellon's patients are suffering from. While not a recognized disease in western allopathic medicine, the symptoms of Morgellon's Disesae patients often fit into TCM syndromes so the condition may be diagnosed and treated using TCM. Morgellon's Disease can causes enormous suffering and there is no treatment for it by MDs at the time that this course is being released (February 2011). Morgellon's Disease patients can suffer for long periods of time and lose their abilities to live normally. Because TCM practitioners are in a position to learn to give effective, safe treatment to alleviate the suffering they are in a position to help those afflicted with this syndrome.
In this course TCM internal medicine is discussed to diagnose and create treatment plans for Toxic Heat Syndrome. This course includes discussion of TCM etiology and Jean's unique herbal approach. Methods of treatment include acupuncture, diet, TCM herb recipes - both topical and internal. Western concepts are also pointed to via URLs so the practitioner can review those in detail and review concepts about pathogens, parasites and new research using the western scientific paradigm. Herbs in this course are referenced by both pin yin and characters but all the other materials are in American English.

This course is designed for TCM clinicians with an active/valid license to practice Oriental Medicine. Students are given 4 weeks to complete the course material. One time extension is available upon request. The course may be taken entirely online. Required - Computer system must be able to use a browser, have broadband access for downloads, and you must be able to send and receive email. PDFs must be viewed with Adobe's Reader. Purchase is normally completed online by paying via paypal. For those who cannot use paypal, an e-check can be sent via email or via this website, but Jean will wait 26 days before access to the course material is given (sorry, but out of state checks have been returned NSF as late as 25 days).
Non-USA residents may purchase but there will be an additional shipping and handling fee if you want the CD mailed to your non-USA address. Jean will be working on producing material for non-TCM health care professionals (for the MD, ND, DC and DDS) and later a version for lay persons so that more individuals may be helped by this new collection of information.
